Meet the Principal
Melissa Skopczynski is the proud and excited Principal of West Middle School. With more than 30 years of experience as an educator in the Taylor School District, Melissa is honored to continue serving the students, families, and community she has proudly called home throughout her career.
Melissa is passionate about building meaningful relationships, creating a positive and welcoming school culture, and ensuring that every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. She is especially excited to become part of the West Middle School family and looks forward to working alongside students, staff, and families to make West a place where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
As she begins this new chapter, Melissa is committed to making every student's middle school experience memorable, meaningful, and amazing. She is excited for the opportunities ahead and looks forward to creating many wonderful memories together.
